It’s also one of the oldest buildings in Onslow. Nestled on the coast of Beadon Bay just metres from the beach, the Hotel was first built in 1926, one of the first structures to go up in the burgeoning town. What started as a simple bar has expanded over the years. Designed by architect JH Eales, the Federation-era exterior harks back to times long ago. Throughout its lifetime, it’s been a space that the community is drawn to. The hardy building has been a staple of the town, surviving tough times, too. When the 1934 cyclone devastated the town, the Hotel provided refuge for many until the damage had passed.
