You can’t miss the Walkabout Creek Hotel when you drive into town. The original movie set was donated to the hotel by the film‘s producer John Cornell, you can’t get much more authentic than that! The bar from the film has been placed in the beer garden and operates for functions. Originally called the Federal Hotel, this pub was built in 1900 and licensed in 1901. The name was changed to the Walkabout Creek Hotel after the first Crocodile Dundee movie. Today the Walkabout Creek Hotel sits proudly overlooking the Landsborough Highway after being relocated in 1996 from the original site at the end of Middleton Street. Come on in and enjoy a drink and some friendly company while watching the traffic go by.
