BlazeAid was established in 2009 by Kevin and Rhonda Butler after the Black Saturday bushfires. They had approximately 3 kilometres of fencing burnt on their property, allowing hundreds of sheep to get out onto the roads, causing a traffic hazard and impeding fire trucks and other emergency service vehicles from continuing their response to the fires. VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers can REGISTER NOW. We are Looking for those with camp and/or fencing experience, as team leaders to help: · to set up team structures · support those less experienced and · maintain tools and equipment Lots of experience or none but eager and willing to help BlazeAid? – ALL WELCOME, training provided. The WALWA camp can accept WH Visa holders for your visa requirements to meet your 88 days. BEFORE ARRIVING: Please contact the basecamp at least the day prior to your intended arrival so we can include you in a team and put your name on the dinner list. If possible, you should aim to arrive prior to 5pm.
